A Message from Pastor Simmons
Welcome to Mountain View Baptist Church in Modesto, California, where we are a close-knit church family that seeks to display the love of Christ toward each other and the community. Thank you for taking the time to view our page. We cordially invite you to come and visit with us this Sunday or any time we have services. Since our humble beginnings in the 1950’s until today, we have seen the Lord Jesus Christ do great and wonderful things for us and through us.
Here at Mountain View Baptist Church, you will find a family that loves Jesus Christ, and loves singing His praises. We have services that put Christ first where He belongs, and we sing songs of worship from an old fashioned song book. Also at Mountain View Baptist Church, you will find a variety of avenues to pursue the truth of God from the Bible. We have preaching on Sundays, Bible study on Thursday night, and a selection of discipleship classes throughout the week.
Our faith in Christ is built on His unwavering promises in the Bible. Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised:)” With that sure foundation, we stand as a church, a family, and servants of Jesus Christ, unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Scriptures.
We do like to have our share of fun as well. Throughout the year we attend a variety of events, conferences, and camps. These activities give us a time to fellowship and grow in our faith, while having as much enjoyment as possible. Some of these activities we attend regularly include:
California Baptist Ladies Conference, Napa, CA held in February
This conference is hosted by Hopewell Baptist Church in Napa, and is a great getaway for the ladies. Here our Christian women can learn the principles of success as a Christian woman. You can find further information at the site below:

This conference is hosted by New Testament Baptist Church of Armona, and is focused on Christian men learning to be men of God. The website below will not only give you pertinent information, but you will find past sermons as well.

Pastors and Workers Conference, Santa Clara, CA held in March
